For more information about what is still running and what is paused, please visit our What’s Next for Heron Drums article.

  • Heron Drums is not currently holding Shamanic Drum Birthing workshops.

Please visit the Drum Birthing workshops page to see our recommended Drum Birthing facilitators.

  • It is still possible to access and enroll on all of our online courses. Simply visit our Online Courses page to find out more details and to sign up. You will have lifetime access to these online courses, and you can proceed with them in your own time at your own pace.

  • The sound of your Shamanic Drum can be affected by the temperature and humidity. When it is colder and damper, it is likely that your drum will sound flat. To find out more about how to care for your drum, in terms of storage, transport, conditioning and playing outdoors, click here.

However, a drum not sounding right, or becoming really flat, could be a sign that there has been more serious damage to it. To find out how to identify this, and about repairs, click here

  • We are mindful of where we source our hides from, and ensure that none of our hides come from animals that have been farmed for meat. Our Horse hides come from privately owned, very much loved animals that have died naturally. Our Stag and Reindeer hides come from wild culled herds, where their hides are usually discarded.
